Following in the footsteps of the likes of Kylie Minogue, Dolly Parton and Dame Shirley Bassey, next year's show will mark the first time Ross has played in the UK since 2008.
After finding fame as the lead singer of Motown Records' best selling outfit the The Supremes ('You Can't Hurry Love', 'Baby Love', 'Stop! In The Name Of Love'), Diana Ross, now 75, went on to become a wildly successful solo artist racking up 75 UK Top 40 singles. Hits such as 'Upside Down' and 'I'm Coming Out' became seminal disco records, firm favourites in the record box of every disco DJ.
According to The Guardian, Paul McCartney will headline Saturday and Diana Ross will play the Sunday afternoon 'legends' time slot. Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis shared the news from the festival’s account. “I’m so pleased to announce Taylor Swift will be headlining the Sunday at Glastonbury 2020,' he said in a video. A resale for unwanted and unpaid tickets will take place on April 16, 2020 for coach tickets and April 19 for general tickets. Paul McCartney to headline Glastonbury 2020 Stormzy stopped Jay-Z.
On her legends slot, Diana Ross said in a Tweet, 'This is a dream come true. To all the fans across the world, this is my tribute to you. I'm coming to Glastonbury, with love.'
Next year's Glastonbury, the 50th anniversary, will be the biggest to date, with an increased capacity of 210,000. The festival will take place from Wednesday 24th June to Sunday 28th June. Tickets have sold out, but there will be a resale in April 2020 to give those that missed out a final chance to nab a ticket.

Taylor Swift has been announced as the Sunday night headliner at Glastonbury 2020.
In a post on the official Glastonbury website, Michael Eavis said: 'I’m so pleased to announce Taylor Swift will be headlining the Sunday at Glastonbury 2020. She’s one of the biggest stars in the world and her songs are absolutely amazing.

The star - whose hits include Shake It Off, Love Story and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together - tweeted a photo of herself holding up a copy of the Glastonbury Free Press with the headline 'Sunday Night Taylor Made For Glastonbury!'
She added: I’m ecstatic to tell you that I’ll be headlining Glastonbury on its 50th anniversary - See you there!'

The ME! singer revealed to her fans she'll be embarking on festival dates to perform her new The Lover album 'in a way that feels authentic'.
Introducing Love Fest, the Shake It Off singer then shared dates which will see her visit everywhere from Werchter Boutique in Belgium to Roskilde Festival in Denmark.

Sir Paul McCartney has been previously announced as the Saturday night headliner on the Pyramid Stage. Motown star Diana Ross will perform the Sunday afternoon legends slot.

This leaves only the Friday night Pyramid Stage slot to be announced, with Emily Eavis claiming that it will be a man who hasn't headlined the festival before. Current rumours have Kendrick Lamar and Harry Styles in the frame.
